Serbian Musicological Society is a scientific society, whose members are musicologists with academic education. Ethno-musicologists, continuously active in scientific work in interdisciplinary field of ethno-musicology and musicology, as well as other scholars dealing with any aspect of music science context may also be members of Serbian Musicological society Among the main goals of the Society, founded in 2006, are the following:
- Development and promotion of musicological creative work in Serbia and abroad.
- Organization of scientific meetings and preparation of scientific projects.
- Establishment and development of musicological data base.
- Organization of round tables, workshops and educational activities.
- Organization of concerts.
- Cooperation with foreign musicological societies.
- Cooperation with other artistic, scientific and cultural institutions.
